Burial

 J. Todd Snyder, President of Snyder Funeral Homes"It’s with loving and tender care that I prepare someone for their place of rest. Burial – the tradition of centuries – dedicates a sacred space to remember your loved one. Memories are not just for our past, they are important to our future. The simple act of burial, and placing a monument proclaims “this life was important and worthy to be remembered.” Sometimes those small dedicated spaces – like small memories – cover large parts of our heart."

Burial Services

We work with your cemetery to coordinate all the details surrounding a burial. Depending on your personal preferences, there are several services to choose from prior to the burial:

  • A visitation (also called a viewing, calling hours, or wake) lets everyone gather together in a room with your loved one in an open casket to say goodbye and comfort the bereaved.
  • A funeral service can be held at our funeral home, your church, or another public space. The service is for celebrating and honoring your loved one’s life. With help from your funeral director, both the visitation and service can be personalized to your loved one’s passions.
  • Graveside or committal services take place at the cemetery. They let everyone be present as their loved one is transferred to his or her final resting place.

We Promise

  • All preperation is performed with gentle loving care.
  • We work with your cemetery to coordinate all the burial details.
  • Our vehicles will be sparking clean for the funeral procession.

Green Burial

If your loved one was passionate about the environment or enjoyed spending time outdoors, a green burial service may be the perfect way to honor their memory. It’s a meaningful way to pay tribute to their legacy while also being eco-friendly.

Funeral Procession

The purpose of a funeral procession is to slow down traffic to allow the community at large to demonstrate mutual support in public honoring of the death. As mourners accompany one another to the final resting place of the person who died, often even strangers take pause and are respectful because they know someone in your family has died.
