Zola M. Algire

Zola Mae Algire, age 90, Sebring Florida and formerly of Fredericktown, died Monday March 3, 2003 at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon, Ohio following a long illness.
She was born May 29, 1912 in Waterford, Ohio to Charles and Bertha (Amadon) Watson.
She was a graduate of Fredericktown High School in 1930. On April 7, 1931 she married John L. Algire and worked at the Knox County Clerk of Courts, Mercy Hospital and Martin Memorial Hospital and as a bookkeeper at Montgomery Wards. A homemaker, Mrs. Algire was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Ankenytown, she enjoyed her family and her beloved cats.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kay and Richard Young of Fredericktown, Sondra and Chris Horn of Mount Vernon; two sons, Joe and Dorothy Algire of Mansfield, Jay and Jeanne Algire of The Villages Florida; 14 grandchildren, Mark Young, Debbie Hill, Ronald Young, Krystal Bittinger, Kristen Horn, Kristina Horn, Steve Algire, Brenda Algire, Kathy Jo Weaver, Kyle Algire, Cheryl Close, Dawn Duncan, Renee Algire, Marla Bell; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John L. Algire in 1984, two sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Ewers and Careta Gleason and one great granddaughter Vanessa Close.
Friends may call Thursday March 6, 2003 from 12 to 2 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Ohio where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 PM. Pastor Mary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Northfork Cemetery, Waterford, Ohio.
