William M. Snyder Sr., 73, of Cardington, passed away peacefully under the care of his children, on Friday, January 1, 2021. He was born on November 1, 1947, in Columbus, to the late George and Edna (Ralph) Snyder.
Bill was employed as a machinist at Tecumseh Products Company until they closed in 1984. He went on to work as an over the road truck driver for Sims Brothers in Marion until his retirement. He devoted 25 years to his wife, Linda, and the two of them raised three children together.
A Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Bill would cheer on both teams every game. He was an avid people watcher and enjoyed watching the old classic Western movies. He always took his children camping throughout the summer months and spent much time in South Eastern Ohio enjoying nature with them. He was a man set in his ways, with will and determination to be independent. He truly loved his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his children, William Snyder Jr., Lisa (Michael) Graham, and Todd (Susan) Snyder; grandchildren, Brandon, Casey, Christin (Chuck), Nicholas, Kaci (Ryan), Kortni (Tony), Robert (Ericka), Jason (Bre), Haley, Clayton, Joseph and Kylie; and13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Edison Enterprise Baptist Church, 3055 OH-95, Edison, 43320. A funeral mass will begin at 1 p.m., with Pastor Eddie Colegrove officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
