William D. Glackin

William D. Glackin, age 74, of Centerburg, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at his residence.  Longtime Service Manager for Precision Tune.  Veteran, U.S. (Navy).  Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 3614, Sunbury Ohio. He enjoyed attending car shows in Central Ohio area. Preceded in death by parents, William D. and Myrtle M. Glackin.  Survived by loving children, Heidi (Greg) Gross, L.B. (Allison) Glackin all of Chester, VA;  grandchildren, Alex, Heath, Hannah, Will and Chandler.  Inurnment with military honors, 2:00 pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, OH 43223.  Pastor Marvin Hintz officiating.  Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517 in William’s memory.  The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve William’s family.  Special memories and condolences can be shared with his family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com

  • Sorry to hear of Bills passing. Many memories of his school days in Fredericktown. He use to hot rod on his bicycle and Cushman scooter before he got a drivers license. He never out grew his love of cars.

    • I learned to drive & shift on our IGA store truck purchased at Glackin Chevrolet just up the street. A reminder of all the former businesses on South Main.
