Willard E. Barrick age 78 of Mt. Gilead, Ohio passed away on June 28, 2019. He was born in Franklin Township, Morrow County, Ohio on April 25, 1941.  His parents were Robert and Lelo (Gilbert) Barrick.

Willard graduated from Chesterville High School in 1959 and began working at HPM Corporation in Repair and Maintenance, serving in the New York City area for a time and in Ann Arbor Michigan.  He moved into Quality Control and moved to Ohio on June 1, 1978 where he worked most of his remaining time at HPM until moving into Technical Writing and Manual Publication. He worked for HPM Corporation for 45 years.  He then worked for Kelly Engineering Services, working as a Technical Writer at Emerson, formerly Shafer Valve, in Mansfield, until he retired.

Willard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jackline M. (Turner) Barrick, son Shawn Barrick from his previous wife Judy Morrison, stepdaughter Shelly Barton, stepdaughter Donna Eblin (Jon), grandson Noah Eblin; 22, grandson Connor Eblin; 16 and multiple nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Franklin Delano, Calvin Gilbert, Robert Doyle, Harlan Dean and one sister; Eloise Leone (Barrick) Weller.

Willard enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandsons and his dogs as well as visiting with neighbors.  He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and learning new technology.

His family will greet friends from 10AM to NOON, on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. A service to celebrate his life will be held there at NOON with Pastor Jeff Canankamp officiating. Burial will follow at Rivercliff Cemetery.
