Walter H. “Little Walt” Hale, age 65 formerly of Delaware, died Thursday evening at Country View of Sunbury.

He was born in Portsmouth on April 8, 1939 to the late Albert M. and Nila Bell (Dyer) Hale. He had resided in Delaware County since 1965 and very proudly worked at Alpha Industries for 32 years. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, golf, horseshoes, swimming, watching wrestling, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He Participated in the Special Olympics.

He is survived by Sisters: Wanda (Harold) Howard of Norwalk, Helen (Chuck) Stone of Galena, Goldie Riddle of Portsmouth, Eva Pauline Mayo of Marengo; Brother: Thurman E. (Joan) Hale of Loudonville.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Brother: William and 2 infant brothers; Sisters: Edna Hodge, Betty Amyx and 2 infant sisters.

Friends may call Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Stranges officiating. Interment will follow in the Galena Cemetery.
