Vivian Clayre Chermer, age 86 of Ostrander died peacefully Thursday morning, June 18, 2009 at Sarah Moore Home surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 28, 1922 in West Newton, PA to the late Roy and Myrtle (Summey) Dillon. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed time spent playing bingo, reading, and crocheting. A member of the Red Hat Society, she also appreciated the activities and friends of the Delaware Senior Citizens on Cheshire Rd and had a passion for vocal singing.

Vivian is survived by son: Kenneth (Diane) Chermer of Ostrander, daughter: Clayre (Tim) Gilles of Wickliffe, 3 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grandchildren, brothers: Barry, Dwight, Buddy, and sisters: Colleen and Jane.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Edward in 1999.

Services will be held privately for her family; arrangements have been entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware.
