Virginia May (Perry) Walker, age 90, of Mount Vernon died on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She was born January 20, 1921, in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of William N. and Nellie (Ingraham) Perry.

Virginia was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, Florida and the Gay Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. She had been a member of the Johnstown Chapter #242 of the O.E.S. and was currently a member of Knox Chapter #236. Virginia had been an employee of Delco Products and Dayton Malleable Iron Co. both in Dayton, Ohio; and in Florida was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and Palm Beach County purchasing dept.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hildreth D. Walker in 1993.

Memorial service, with special recognition by the Order of Eastern Star will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Gay Street United Methodist Church, 18 North Gay St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050 with Rev. Denise Marikis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Virginia asked that donations be made to the Gay Street United Methodist Church.
