Virgil W. “Bud” Jantvold, age 71 of Delaware, died Friday evening February 13, 2004 at his residence.

He was born in Bemidji, MN on July 27, 1932 to the late Sam Jantvold and Bertha (Olson) Seitz. Also proceeded by Step-father Jess Seitz. Retired Chief Master Sergeant, US Air Force with 20 years of service. Also retired from the former Flexible Corp. Purchasing Department. He enjoyed fishing and football especially the Minnesota Vikings and the Michigan Wolverines.

Survived by his Wife: Joyce (Detwiler) Jantvold, who is works at The Medicine Shoppe, and they were married March 29, 1972. Sons: Tony and Tom Jantvold both of Delaware; Daughters: Shelby Jantvold of Delaware, Carla Jantvold of Keno, OR., Colleen (Mike) Holliday of Kalmath Falls, OR.; 5 Grandchildren: Michelle, Jacob, Peter (Wendy), Kristy (Jarad), Nikki (Jeff). 7 Great Grandchildren. Brother: Gerald Seitz of Aurora, MN.; Sisters: Marion Dragich of St. Paul, MN., Arlene (George) Thell of Superior, WI., Carol Gundy of Saginaw, WI., Shelby (John) Greenley of Buhl, MN. Mother-in-law: Margaret Detwiler of Delaware; Sister-in-law: Bev (Gary) Lee of Delaware. 15 Nieces and Nephews.

Proceeded by Sister: Eunice Corcoran and Nephew: Jason Thatcher.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William Street, Delaware with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Sedziol. Military service will follow at the Funeral Home provided by the Delaware County Veteran Association.
