Travis S. Woltz

Travis S. Woltz, age 45, of Howard passed away on unexpectedly Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home. He was born February 27, 1969 in Newark to Connie L. (Gilbert) Woltz and the late Charles R. Woltz.
Travis graduated from East Knox High School and the Knox County Career Center in 1988. After high school, Travis became a skilled bricklayer and worked for TRW. Most recently, Travis worked the IO Homes in Mount Vernon. Travis was a member of the UAW and Local 44 of the Bricklayers Union. His hobbies include playing golf, throwing darts, scuba diving, woodworking, fishing and hunting. Travis especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and attending their sporting events.
Travis is survived by his mother, Connie of Mount Vernon; sisters, Jan Edgar of Howard, Tracey Vilfer of Howard, and Ashley (David) Bartok of Howard; nieces and nephews, Katie (Jed) Todd, Cody (Sheeka) White, Brittany (Dakota) Lonsinger, Michael Vilfer, Malorie Vilfer, Macee Bartok and Meggan Bartok; a great niece, Nevaeh White; a great nephew, Charlie Lonsinger; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon with Bart Rine officiating. The family will observe a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, OH 43201 in Travis’ memory.
