Tony R. Saunders, age 53, of Howard passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
He was born on November 17, 1966 in Mount Vernon to Clyde and Ruth (Strouse) Saunders. Tony was a Machine Operator at F.T. Precision.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica (Tablett) Saunders; three daughters, Natasha (Mat) Butler, Lalanya Saunders, Nicole (Dalton) Rager; five grandchildren, Chayden Wagner, Landen Wagner, Stella Saunders, Bryce Butler, Kinsley Rager; his brothers, Clyde (Molly) Saunders Jr, Dennis Saunders; and four sisters, Linda (Mike) Smith, Bonnie (Dale) Smith, Diane (Steve) Mellor, and Peg (Randy) McFarland.
In keeping with Tony’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 beginning at 1PM with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Tony’s request was to please dress in comfortable attire.

To the best people that were in my life! Some of the first people we met when moved to Ohio they took us in as family 30 years ago . Tony and Rod were inseparable ! Ronnie took me in as a friend nothing but good memories crying over our children being born ! I love you all will always be in my heart Tony my girls loved you also all the adventures you took them on and taught them! Bless you all know and I love you all! Big hug to each and everyone!
I worked with Tony at FT got to see him every morning!! Its hard to swallow the fact I’ll never get the chance again…He was a lot of fun and seemed to always be in a good mood!! Rest easy my friend… to his family and loved ones may you find comfort and peace in this difficult time especially around the holidays. ♥️
