Thomas C. Weaver, age 93 of Columbus and formerly of Delaware died Monday, November 24, 2008.

He was born on September 20, 1915 in Cincinnati to the late Edward S. and Della (Ahlefeld) Weaver. Thomas earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters Degree from the Union Theological Seminary. A Master Sergeant in the US Army and Veteran of WW II, he returned to Delaware in 1989 from Beirut, Lebanon. While in Beirut, he served as a professor of English at the International College of Beirut. An accomplished organist, he was also a well known horse show judge. He enjoyed music and Arabian horses.

He is survived by a nephew: Alden Winters of Texas, cousin Mary Bradford-White of Illinois, and numerous friends including Georges and Anita Zeidan, Jamal Hashisho of Columbus, OH, Al Miller of Maine, Steve and Paula Sturman of Indiana.

Tom was preceded in death by his brother J. Edward Weaver, sister Helen Winter, cousin Ruth Bradford of Columbus.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no public services. The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware are privileged to serve Thomas Weaver and his family.
