  • Dear Mike and Family,
You have our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy at this time of such tragic loss. Susie was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She touched so many lives and we are truly blessed that she touched ours. She is part of our warmest and most wonderful memories of horses, long walks, and heart to heart talks. Her faith, optimism, love of animals, love of friends, love of family, gentle ways, smile , and laughter inspire us. She was an unforgettable light in our lives.

  • Dear Mike and Family,
Our hearts hurt for you. We know that God knows all things! and he will get you through this. We only seen Susie once, waving to us from the basketball bleachers. Susie will be forever in our hearts and mind, and may God have his loving arms wrapped around all of you. Our deepest heart felt sympathy.

  • Our heartfelt love and prayers to all of you. Susie was a special blessing from God to all who were privileged to know her. May God strengthen you in the coming days and give you only joyous memories of her life.

  • Dear Tobins & Family,
Thinking of you in this most difficult time. Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Sending love & hugs.

  • Praying that our Lord will fill your hearts with His peace and grace, holding you close to His heart.

  • Mike and the whole family have my sincerest sympathy. They and Susie’s beloved animals are in my prayers. As already has been said by many others, Susie was a truly beautiful person both inside and out. She was a kind and loving soul who was always willing to give her time to others. She was an angel on earth, sharing her love of Christ with all of us. Selfishly, we will greatly miss her steadfast presence in this world, but know she is now an angel in heaven. Besides being a caring friend and great listener, she did so many other things that I will always remember. She gave the best massages to my guests, gave patient riding lessons to my campers, shared her beautiful home with many, was always the perfect hostess, and brought my dog’s puppies into this world. (Many of those pups carry her love and now provide comfort to those in need through Lutheran Church Charities.) Susie was the most awesome person I’ve had the privilege to know.

  • Mike, I am so sorry for your loss. I had Susie on my mind all day last Thursday and was praying. I was thinking I need to seek her out and see how she is doing. What sad news as I heard about her passing but I know that she is seating at the feet of the Lord, just praising him. It was my privilege to get to know her as we attended our classes together at Marion Christian Center. Praying for all of you during this time of grief.

  • I will never forget Susie’s words and her ways. She truly “walked her talk.” She prayed a beautiful
Prophetic prayer over me a few years ago that I have seen come true and is still coming true. Also, I
still recall her reading Scripture, and then adding the phrase with our home group repeating it vocally, “And the Spirit makes it real to me.” Amen! Come close to the Baird family, gracious Heavenly Father, during their time of grieving.

  • Dear Mike and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Suzanne was a precious friend of the Russell family and a dear loved one. We are praying for you all.

  • Mike,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Love and prayers to you and your family in your time of grief.
    Your cousin
    Janice Baird

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express the loss of someone loved by so many. My prayers are with you.

  • We grieve and mourn with you Mike, and your dear family, along with so many others this great loss. Few on earth imaged Christ clearer and served others more fully. What a privilege to have known Susie over 3+ decades – to have connected and reconnected over this journey toward our common destination.
” precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his godly ones.” (Psalm 116:15)

  • Dear Mike and Family ,
I just never know what to say in these situations and yet my heart just breaks and I want to say something ? I can’t imagine not seeing her walking her Golden or stopping to talk to her again? I know we will see her again but it’s right now when it hurts so much. Her life and her words of encouragement are always going to be with me. I’m sure she’s surrounded by horses and dogs and missing all of us. But she’s home….. And she’s happy…..
The boys and I are praying for all of you. God is good.
Please let us know if we can help in anyway.
    Jim and The Boys.

  • Susie must have been a truly remarkable woman and mother to have an amazing daughter Amy who I know through teaching at Northmor. May God watch over and comfort your family during this difficult time.

  • Praying for the family at this time of loss. May all of you feel God’s love surrounding you.

  • Dear Mike,
We are so sorry to learn of your loss. Please know that I am holding you in my thoughts during this sorrowful time.

  • Mike, I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Suzanne. I know you from being a Realtor at Showcase years ago. I remember you being such a kind and caring person while we worked together. There are no words for me to say that can ease your pain in this horrible time of loss. My prayers will be with you and your family for the God of comfort to visit and stay with you. He is love!

  • Mile, your dear, sweet, kind, generous, faith-filled, faithful, grace-filled, graceful, beautiful inside and out Susie taught me how to love with the love of Christ. As you journey on without her physical presence let these Holy words remind you that “Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it”, and may you be blessed always by her memory.

  • Mike and Family, We were so shocked when we heard the news about Susie. We know how devastating that can be! We know Susie was a good Christian and where she is now. You all are in our thoughts and prayers! Micah and Bridget I called Mother to tell her and she is also praying for you all! She loves Colten and Brooklyn so much! Again you are in our thoughts and prayers. Maurice and I are in Florida and won’t be able to be there for the service.

  • Mike, Amy, Micah and family,
We know this time will be very hard for you. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
We were very devastated to hear the news that Susie was gone. Susie was very special to both of us. She accepted us where we were in our walk with the Lord. She never judged, only encouraged us. I don’t think she ever realized as she shared, with joy, about what the Lord was teaching her, that she gave us a burning desire to become closer to the Lord ourselves. She had a special love for the Lord. We will miss her tremendously.

  • We are sorry for the passing of your loved one. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

  • Amy & Trent

Our hearts and thoughts are yours.

    With deepest sympathy,

    Justin Goodwillie & Family

  • Dear Mike and Family:
I posted a condolence a few days ago but do not see it on this page….so I want to express again my deep sorrow for your tragic loss of Susie. She was such a sweet dear person and I am so blessed to have known her while I was in the Columbus area. She was truly a one of a kind angel on this earth, and now in Heaven. We shared our love of horses and dogs, and the beautiful country there…..your beautiful home on the hilltop. All her hopes and dreams had come true. May God be with you at this terrible time. My heart is with you….Love, Cindy

  • Dear Mike and family,

My heart grieves at the news of Susie’s passing too soon from us. Immediate prayers to the Lord Jesus leapt from my heart for you, your family, and all the animals that she cared for that will surely miss her gentle presence. She found my precious rescue dog, “Darby”, the day before he was to be put down in a shelter up your way. She phoned and without question, I said “yes, I will take him, I am on my way” because I knew Susie knew this dog was special, and he has been the dearest companion. It was the same with horses, she knew their spirits and opened my heart to trust these beautiful creatures in new ways. But most of all, we shared the love of Jesus and how he uses all things in nature to draw us to himself. “Thank you Susie for being a beautiful sister in the Lord and your many encouraging, prophetic words. I can only imagine heaven and feel your heart in His loving presence. Rest dear one.”
And Mike, may you have peace beyond understanding, as the loving Father holds you through the rest of your earthly journey, until you see Susie again.

    Under His Wings,
    Connie McClendon

  • So sorry to hear of Susie’s passing. Our hearts & prayers go out to Susie’s precious family….We’ll never forget her sweet gentle spirit & her love for Jesus, her family & for all those privileged to meet her. May the Spirit of the Lord Jesus comfort you like none other during this most difficult time!
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord be upon you binding up your broken hearts, comforting you as you mourn, providing for those who grieve- to bestow on you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy for mourning & a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair… Isaiah 61: 1-3
May our God be your Refuge and Strength, an ever-present Help in time of need. Psalm 46:1

  • Our sincere and heartfelt sympathies to you, Mike (and your family) on the loss of your dear wife, Suzie. She was such a dear, gentle and kind woman. We pray that you and your family will somehow experience that “peace that passes understanding” and ongoing warm memories of your life together.

“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.” ― C.S. Lewis
