Shirley J. Stoner, age 80, of Danville passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her home.

She was born on June 27, 1937 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to the late Robert and Gladys (Emery) Rusk. Shirley was a self-employed cook, and also a Nurse’ Aide from which she retired after many years of service.  Shirley was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, was a past Worthy Matron of The Ohio Eastern Star and was a member of Colonial City Women of the Moose Chapter #100.

Shirley is survived by her nephews Jeffrey (Holly) Miller of Mount Vernon, Bryon (Katie) Miller of Marion; and her sister Joanne Kemp of Loudonville.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Roger Stoner and her sister Janice Kemp.

In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018  at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville with a luncheon to follow.
