September 25, 1941 ‒ August 15, 2009

Edison, Ohio

Sharon M. Reeder, age 67, of Edison, died in her sleep early Saturday morning, August 15, 2009.

Sharon was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 25, 1941, the daughter of the late William A. and Harriett D. (Grimes) Kelly. In 1958, she graduated from Mishawaka High School in Indiana.

On March 13, 1965, Sharon married her love, Jerlon L. “Jerry” Reeder in Mishawaka. They shared over 44 wonderful years together.

For 14 years, Sharon worked as a medical billing clerk at the Smith Clinic in Marion, retiring in 2000. Her true calling though, was that of a mother and homemaker.

Sharon attended the At His Feet Christian Center in Mount Gilead.

With a passion for the outdoors, Sharon loved to go camping and fishing. Many hours were spent locally, as well as numerous road trips out west in the family motor home.

Sharon’s kids and grandkids were the absolute delight of her life. Her family meant everything to her. She was a wonderful caregiver through all of her years, and most notably, “she was just Mom.”

Sharon will be dearly missed by her husband, Jerry; her three children: daughter, Kelly (Dee) Hadley of Groton, Connecticut and their children Trent and Cody Hunt; son, Nathan (Hidie) Reeder of Gillette, Wyoming and their children Wyatt, Carson, and Morgan Reeder; daughter, Jeri Lynne Reeder of Galion and her children Caitlyn Patton and Justin Brannon; three sisters: Anita (Don) Woolley and Judy (David) Sherwood both of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Billie Jean (Larry) Fultz of Elkhart, Indiana; and her great granddaughter, Chenea Hunt.

The Reeder Family will greet friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main Street, Mount Gilead, where services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Art Wooddell officiating.
