Scott S. Reeve, age 61, of Mount Gilead, passed away peacefully at his residence, Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott was born January 15, 1957, in Mount Gilead, to the late Enos L. and Donna L. (Werkhaven) Reeve. He attended Mount Gilead High School and graduated in the class of 1975.

In 1983, Scott married the love of his life, Penny M. Eckstein.

For many years, Scott worked in water and waste water, retiring as Superintendent from the Village of Perrysville.

Having a love for the outdoors Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, a love he was able to pass down to his son. Scott also enjoyed designing and creating woodworking projects. On the farm, Scott loved his mules, raising livestock, and the many dogs he owned over the years.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Penny; son, Sam (Courtney) Reeve of Sunbury; granddaughter, Cierra; brothers: Lyle and Bryan Reeve; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents: Enos and Donna, and daughter, Carrie Reeve.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held with his family at a later date.
