Ruth Florence Walter, 93, of Radnor passed away Saturday afternoon March 21, 2015 at Bennington Glen in Marengo.

She was born June 3, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Roy Seitz and Florence (Gavigan) Seitz.

Ruth retired from the former Cleveland Trust serving as a bank teller and was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Delaware, where she served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Mink Street Neighbors in Radnor and, when younger, also served many years as a campfire and Girl scout leader.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Marjorie Ann Molner of Austin, Texas, Jeanne Eileen Wasil of Ostrander and Ruth Florence Nicholson of Radnor; son Carl Arthur Walter of Radnor; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister Elaine L. Poole of North Olmstead, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Walter in 1999, two sisters Marjorie and Virginia and a brother Roy.

Private graveside services will be observed by the family and held at Radnor Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday March 27 at 11:30 am at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, 41 Hodges Road, Delaware, OH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth’s memory may be made to the Old Stone Presbyterian Church.
