Ronald L. Pankuch, age 59, of Gilbert Road, Centerburg, passed away on Wednesday August 30, 2006 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ladislaus and Anna (Piros) Pankuch. Ronald retired after 33 years of employment with Lucent Technologies and most recently worked as a quality circle facilitator for American Showa in Sunbury. He was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rose (Peele) Pankuch, two sons, Ronald B. (Amy) Pankuch of Orient, Ohio, Michael (Shanell) Pankuch of Utica, Ohio, a daughter, Nadine (Bill) Carmickle of Marengo, Ohio, six grandchildren, B.J. and Tori Carmickle, Mikaela and Mackenzie Pankuch, Koltin and Brooklyn Pankuch, six brothers, Lad (Eleanor) Pankuch of North Royalton, Ohio, Bob (Jean) Pankuch of Brook Park, Ohio, Ray (Carol) Pankuch of Naperville, Illinois, Richard (Nancy) Pankuch of Stowe, Ohio, Bill (Chris) Pankuch of Carey, North Carolina and Jim (Patti) Pankuch of Strongsville, Ohio.
His parents preceded him in death.
Friends may call on Friday from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
