Robin Clark Schroeder, 60, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at his residence.

He was born November 10, 1956 in Adrian, Michigan to Charles and Janice (Eversman) Schroeder and graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Michigan and attended Adrian College. He later proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1975 – 1977.

Robin owned and operated Robin’s Custom Exteriors and was a member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed sightseeing, antiques, music and going to concerts. He loved playing basketball which he did in high school, 2 years in college and in city and rec leagues. He had a passion for horseback riding and always looked forward to riding in the Delaware All Horse Parade. He also competed in Appaloosa horse shows as a youth and an adult. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughter and granddaughters.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Samantha (Travis) Copley of Richwood; granddaughters, Raeleigh and Melanie Copley; his father, Charles Schroeder of Delaware; brother, Joe (Marylee) Schroeder of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts; nieces and a nephew.

Robin was preceded in death by his mother Janice and a brother Michael.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4 – 6 pm at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, 41 Hodges Road, Delaware. Celebration of Life services will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Don Hilkerbaumer officiating and military honors will be conducted at the end of the service by the Delaware County Veterans Association.

Contributions in Robin’s memory may be made to the church.

  • My memories of Robin go way back to school days. Both our last names were similar so we were often seated nearby. Laughing was our favorite subject, which explains our citizenship grade. I looked forward to our high school reunions and seeing him. I’m so glad I had time with him last reunion. I will always cherish those memories.

    • I’m so sorry for your loss of a wonderful son,father, grandfather and friend. I was good friends with rob when he was in Adrian for college over 30 years ago. We worked together at musicland and I really enjoyed working with him. He made work enjoyable! I haven’t seen him since he left Adrian only once but have been talking and following him on Facebook.   • My heart is broken over the loss of Robin. He gave me the most beautiful gift in life, our daughter Samantha. The bond they shared is unbreakable. He was her biggest fan and she was his. I will be forever grateful for him as I couldn’t have asked for a more loving father for our daughter. Robin also gave to me two of the most amazing role models for our daughter, her Grandparents, Chuck and Jan. The amount of love within the Schroeder family I know will get Samantha through this tragedy. I also ask for prayers to give Samantha the strength she will need in the future.
