MANSFIELD: Robert Morgan Wadsworth, age 71, of Linden Circle West, Mansfield, died Wednesday afternoon November 28, 2001 in the emergency room of MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

He was born October 21, 1930 in Marion to G. Fred & Agnes (Morgan) Wadsworth, and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1948. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in 1952.

Following college graduation, Robert was employed with the former Stevens Manufacturing in Lexington, until joining his father in business at National Ring & Leather on National Parkway, retiring from there in 1989. Most recently he was involved in selling real estate with Haring Realty.

Robert was a member of First United Presbyterian Church where he served as deacon, Kiwanis Club, past member of Mansfield Jaycees and Mastersingers. Robert enjoyed fishing, boating and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Shirley A. (Verner) Wadsworth, whom he married February 25, 1977; a daughter Victoria Sue Wadsworth of Cincinnati; stepson and his wife Michael J. & Dorothy Long of Grove City; five special grandchildren Amber, Morgan, Caleb, Drake and Jacob of Grove City; two sisters Marny Pugh of Marco Island, FL, and Bette Zimmerman of Virginia Beach, VA; aunt and uncle Robert & Velma Howie of London, Ontario, Canada; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Friends may call Friday November 30, 2001 from 6-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am. The Rev. Dennis R. Allison will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
