Robert L Clements, age 77 of Delaware died Wednesday morning, August 28, 2002 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware.

He was born August 25, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Albert L and Ella May (Trask) Clements. US Coast Guard veteran of WW II serving from 1942 until 1946. Employed by PPG for 42 years, retiring in 1988 as sales service manager.

Member and past commander of American Legion Post #115, Member of Delaware Elk’s Lodge # 76 and Delaware Moose Lodge #1167. He enjoyed playing golf; working crossword puzzles, cards, and was a sports enthusiast.

Survived by his wife of 20 years: Patricia Ann (Taylor), Sons: Terry A. (Rosalynne) Clements of Toronto, Ont. Canada, Charles F. “Chuck” Clements of Cincinnati, Kit M. (Margaret) Clements of Westland, MI, Kim M. (Joyce) Clements of Cypress, TX, Step-son: Keith (Catherine) Holewinski of Ashley, 6 Grandchildren: Steffan, Elicia, Shaleena, Michelle, Corey, Kelsey, 3 Great-grandchildren: Crystal, Kaitlyn, Allison, Brother: Laurence “Walt” Clements of Tawas City, MI, Sisters: Evelyn Shepard of Roseville, MI, Margaret “Peggy” McGowan of Phelan, CA.

Preceded in death by his first wife: Dolores (Wrighters) Clements, 2nd wife: Patricia A. (Coughlin) Clements, Brothers: Charles F. & Eugene Clements, Sister: Lottie White.

Friends may call Friday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m., Nick Jones, Chaplain of American Legion Post #115 officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #115 will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Bob’s name.
