Robert F. Hart, age 83, of Delaware died Monday evening, January 23, 2006 at Grant Medical Center, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occured December 16, 2005 in Delaware County.

He was born on March 12, 1922, in Stantontown to the late Charles and Bessie Mae Hart. A graduate of Ashley High School Class of 1942, he was also a veteran of the US Army, serving during WW II. Robert was a retired engineer/machinist, spending most of his career with Clark Tool & Design. Never actually fully retiring, he enjoyed wood working, remodeling and Gardening/landscaping in his spare time. He also had a love for travel, being a member of AAA for over 50 years. He managed a carwash locally and loved listening to old time country gospel music. He also enjoyed collecting rare vintage car models and coins.

Robert enjoyed his family and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. He was an excellent caregiver to his wife of almost 50 years, Betty Lou (VanLoon) Hart who preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 2000.

Survived by his Sons: Van (Cindi) Hart of Delaware, Michael (Denise) Hart of Delaware; Daughters: Georgia Hart of Delaware, Belle (Carl E. III) Hoffman of Newark and Sue Ann (Jim) Streets of Pataskala; 15 Grandchildren: Zachary (Kerry), Sara(Chris), Devin, Destin, Ajah, Christopher, Kayla, Corey, Carly, Emily, Ashley, John, Allen, Jennifer and Jeff; Great-Grandchildren: Morgan, Waylan, Charles, Alexis and Kaleb; Brothers: Orville Hart and Harley (Jo) Hart; Longtime good friends: Tim Dickens and Mark Peterson.

The family will greet friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home 75 W. William Street, Delaware, where the services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Green Mound Cemetery in Kilbourne, with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Association.
