Robert E. “Bob” Vigar, age 70 of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 16th at Riverside Hospital. He was born September 18, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to Edward E. and Ildreth Stegner Vigar. A lifelong area resident, he was a graduate of Olentangy High School, class of 1960. He is retired from the Columbus & Southern and AEP electric companies; currently he was a real estate agent with the Disbennett Real Estate Company. Bob enjoyed golfing, travelling, and gambling, his family but most especially his grandchildren. He had a host of friends and a soft spot for all of God’s creatures. He is survived by his wife Julie; 3 daughters Shelley (Kym) Lowery of Delaware, Mitzi (Bob) Amon of Powell, and Dorri Ozark of Tucson, AZ; a son Matt (Rachel) Vigar of Jones, OK; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and numerous others including many close friends; his father-in-law John White of Sunbury; brothers-in-law John White of Sunbury and Jim (Margie) White of Delaware; an aunt Betty (Art) Grooms of Ashley; Fuzz and Yellow. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Myron and his wife Sarah, a daughter Tina Louise (at birth), and his four-legged best friend Mandi. Friends will be received at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware on Friday, January 20th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Greenmound Cemetery in Kilbourne.
