  • I had not seen Rick in a while, but he and my dad worked together at AEP for 29 years. Anyone who could put up with my dad for that long deserves a medal- My dad had nothing but great things to say about Rick, he was one of my favorite people to be around when we would attend company parties and picnics back in the day-Prayers to the family during this difficult time, I cannot imagine the loss, he will be missed.

  • Prayers and deepest sympathy for Dee and the children. The void left behind will be so large. I know his AEP co workers will miss him very much he was a dedicated lineman. Rick was my biggest cheerleader when I was transitioning from contractor to employee with AEP 10 years ago. He even wrote a letter to the district manager on my behalf , I never told him that it was shared with me. That’s the kind of guy (Durf) was. He loved his family and was always so proud of them. He loved his coaching coaching he took such great pride in it. What a great daddy he was. I know his battle was rough but I know he’s at peace now. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. May God Bless this family and for the life of my friend, I was blessed to of crossed paths with him in life.

  • There are no words to express the sadness we feel for you all. Dee and family, our love and prayers are with each and everyone of you.

  • To Dee and the Durfee family,
