Richard L. Wright, age 75, of Mount Vernon, died Wednesday June 18, 2014 at his residence. Richard was born July 14, 1938 in Mount Vernon to John Wright and Dorothy (Taylor) Reese. He was a 1956 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He had been a member of the United States Army Reserves. Richard had been employed as an independent construction contractor and had been an employee of Mid-Ohio Suzuki-Honda-Yamaha-Kawasaki in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are his children Lisa; Suzette and Lance. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Laura.

Per Richards wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Private burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

  • Lance..So sorry to hear about your dad. I grew up with him in South Vernon and had a serious crush on him at one time. A great person he was and I’m sure the family will miss him terribly. I met you once through Erica, didn’t know he was your dad then…God Bless
