Richard L. Turrill, 68, of Delaware passed away late Wednesday evening April 4, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born March 15, 1944 Marietta, Ohio to Harold and Evelyn (Morris) Turrill. He managed the JMS Shooting Center, currently Black Wing Shooting Center and had been a Delaware resident for the past 12 years. He was a member of the NRA, American Trapshooting Association, and the Boy Scouts of America where he served as a troop leader. He also enjoyed camping and hunting and was a huge history buff. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley J. (Cordell); son, Aaron (Melissa) Turrill of Lockbourne; daughter, Melissa (Charles) Young of Beavercreek; 7 grandchildren, Alicia and Austin Young and Kyle, Kali, Morgan, Ashden, and Brennen Turrill; brother, Sheldon Turrill of Ashley; daughter-in-law, Brandi Turrill of Delaware; special friend, Nate Cline of Hilliard; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Scott in 2009, 2 brothers Pete and Merle and 2 sisters Shirley and Marie. The family will receive friends on Monday April 9th from 6 – 8 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 10th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
