Richard D. “Dave” Bayless, 62, of Mount Vernon died Saturday evening, December 2, 2017 at home surrounded by family.  He was born in Wade, Ohio on August 26, 1955 to the late Richard D. Bayless and Ruth Ann (Kiggans) Bayless Blundell.

Dave graduated in 1973 from the Knox County Career Center and was a self-employed concrete mason.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Shawn) Schwarcz, Erica Bayless and Jennifer Bayless of Mount Vernon, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn (Roger) Williamson of Dallas, NC, Marilyn (Randy) Tate of Fort Meade, FL, Donna (Red) Monroe of Washington, WV, Joyce Guthrie of Hobe Sound, FL, Sandra (Ronnie) Baliles of Turtletown, TN, Billie Jo Stover of Andrews, NC and Barbara (Mike) Baker of Murphy, NC; step mother, Shirley Bayless and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a nephew, Jason Newton.

In keeping with Dave’s wish, the family will have a private service.

The family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
