Richard Alan Collins

December 21, 1962 ‒ March 01, 2019

Richard “Rick” Alan Collins, loving husband of 22 years, was taken from us much too early on the afternoon of Friday, March 1st, 2019 at the age of 56.

Rick was born to Billy Ray and Patricia in 1962.

He married his wife, Beth, in 1997 and they raised their furry son and love of their lives, Butch, until he passed at age 15.

Rick enjoyed muscle cars, fishing, camping, movies, music and giving his friends as hard a time as he possibly could.

His soul was pure, as was his love for all of those around him.

He brought joy and laughter to everyone he met and amassed many true friends because of his loving and caring nature and his quick wit.

Rick will be missed by all of those who he touched, which turns out to be most everyone he met.  Those who knew him well will tell you that there has never been and will never be anyone quite like Rick.  With his blend of humor, kindness, sincerity, courage, loyalty, compassion and generosity, he was truly one of a kind.

We will miss him immensely.

In his own words, “We really had a good run”.

  • I saw an especially bright star in the sky the other night. I sent my love for Rick out into the Universe.

  • My heart aches for Rick AND Beth. I feel like he made Beth happy and that was really important to me. I pray he is racing his favorite muscle car on the golden streets, fishing and camping, laughing at funny movies, enjoying the music of the heavenly choirs. I also pray that that he isn’t giving St Peter, or anyone else up there, a hard time.
