Ralph “Henry” Young, 70, of Galion passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2016 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.

He was born March 29, 1945 in Mansfield and was the son of Ralph Henry and Iva (Zellner) Young.

Henry is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Kendall-Young which whom he made his home with since 2004. He is also survived by children James Corey (Michelle) Krichbaum, Kelly Ann Krichbaum and Debbie Marie Krichbaum; two grandchildren Gabriella and Aubrianna Krichbaum; sister Barbara Hastings; sister-in-law and friend Diane Wise and John Stumpf of Galion; brother-in-law and wife Harold James Young and Gwendlyn of Iowa; nieces Je’Nill Wise and Santanna Boston; great niece Emaleigh Boston and great nephew Luke Boston.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son Ryan Adam Krichbaum.

Henry graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and attended Boulder College in Colorado. He proudly served his country in the United State Navy during Vietnam. Henry worked in construction and built many homes. He was a member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 of Galion and loved wood working, building things, fishing, music, playing the drums, computers and pets.

Full military honors will be conducted in the Heise Park Military Monument, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. by the United States Navy and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
