Ralph E. Baker, age 74, of Fredericktown, died Saturday August 2, 2003 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1929, in Richland County to John and Mae (West) Baker and moved to the Knox County area 10 years ago. He was a retired driver for the Westinghouse Trucking Corp. Mr. Baker was a member of The Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife Janet (Zerby) Baker whom he married June 25, 1949; 2 sons Jerry (Joyce) Baker of Bellville and Jeff (Beth) Baker of Chula Vista, California; his daughter Laura (Mark) Cremeans of Troy, Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Bridget Corbett, Ashley Cremeans, Michael Baker and Shannon Baker; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 brothers Bill (Ilene) Baker and Robert (Kate) Baker both of Lexington and 2 sisters Carol (Bob) Greer of Lexington and Etta Wiley of Nappanee, Indiana, Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Baker, and infant brother Dale Baker and a sister Thelma Campbell.
Services will be held 2 PM Saturday at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Doug Oakes and Doug Roush officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 hours before the service.
