BUTLER: Phyllis Christine Daugherty, age 81, of Butler passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2011 in Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born September 3, 1930 in Mansfield the daughter of Peter and Christine (Morganstern) Seeburger.

On October 28, 1949 she married William R. Daugherty who preceded her in death.

Phyllis worked at Therm-O-Disc and left employment there to care for her children.

She was a member of the former Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church, and the Worthington Township Fire and Rescue Auxiliary.

A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother she dearly loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters Sheila Counts of Butler and Lisa Daugherty of Mansfield; grandchildren William Troy Counts of Galion and Leah Marie Daugherty (Lon Aurand) of Mansfield; three great grandchildren Taylor Christine Counts, Kaleb William Carsey and Aiyana Joelee Carsey; niece who was like a sister Joyce Johnson, family friend whom she considered her third daughter Sandy Pollock, friend Sharon Hoffman, and her Scotty dog Lexee.

Phyllis was also preceded in death by her sisters Mary Jane Daugherty and Betty Graszl.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2pm in Bellville Cemetery. Her grandson Troy will speak.
