  • Meier family,
Phil was one of a kind. He was honest, genuine, sincere, gentle, ornery, and one of the realest people I knew! His biggest trait that I will never forget was his infectious smile. It was impossible to look at him smiling and not smile back! Although he will be missed here on this earth, I cannot help but feel peace when I know that he ran straight into the arms of Jesus. Well done ye good and faithful servant! Until we meet again, God speed “Philomena!” (That’s the name he got from me when I felt it was deserved:) My heart goes out to you all during this difficult time and I hope you will find comfort in the many memories Phil left behind. Memories last a lifetime, he will forever be in my family’s heart! He was a wonderful friend to my family. A role model Christian to me when I was just a young, impressionable girl in the church, and specifically “the very best kind of friend” to my dad! Love to you all, may Gods peace be with you, always!

  • I am so sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. I pray that God’s grace and love would comfort and give you strength as you go through this tough time. He will definitely be missed by many in the Sunbury community.

  • Lisa:

My deepest condolences to all of you. He is a great friend, and I’m going to miss him so much. He’s always texting me during the Buckeye games and his enthusiasm is just infectious.

His steadfast integrity and professionalism was a guide for us all. He lifted me up many times. But most of all he loved our Lord and one never doubted his friendship.

Prayers for you and your family.

  • Lisa, our hearts are saddened by your loss. May The Lord be close to you and your girls. We will keep you all in our prayers.
    Eric, Laurie and McKenzie Cellar-Davis.

  • My heart is still grieving. Phil has been a very important part of my life for many years. He was one of the most honest and sincere men I ever knew. He always spoke the truth. He also put his faith into action. I was the recipient of his servant hood many times, and he always did it with a willing heart. I have so many fond memories especially recently. I am forever thankful for the impact that Phil Meier played in my life. He left his mark. I think God has already said, “We’ll done my good and faithful servant.” I will miss him dearly. Praying for you, Lisa, Megan, Alyssa, and all of your family.

  • I had the pleasure of working with Phil for nearly 20 years. I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed our relationship. He taught me a great deal and was always willing to share his knowledge. Phil would always offer help when needed and provided a sense of humor that was very much appreciated. We talked often about his girls, of whom he obviously was very proud. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
