Paul A. Hale, 75, of Apple Valley Drive, Howard died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at the Heartland of Centerburg Care Facility. He was born on January 11, 1928 in Scranton, Kentucky, son to the late Willy and Hattie (Bowling) Hale. Mr. Hale worked for the Dayton Board of Education as the Maintenance Supervisor and retired after 29 years of service. He was a Veteran serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1946-1948.

Surviving are his two sons; Chuck (Sue) Hale of Atlanta, GA, Rick (Kimberly) Hale of Kettering, OH, two grandchildren; Josh and Kierstyn Hale, a brother Roger (Jean) Hale of Kettering, OH, three sisters; Lorena (Charles) Depoysteer, Beryl (Paul) Carpenter, and Jean Little all of Morehead, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife Lou Hale, three sisters; Mamis Patrick, Francis Bush, Alvern Hale and numerous step brothers and step sisters.

There will be no calling hours. There will be a memorial service at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Rd., Mt. Vernon, Ohio 43050, on Saturday, December 27, 2003 beginning at 2:30 PM. Rev. Jamie Gump will officiate the service.
