Patsy Ann (Chafin) Deel

March 31, 1951 ‒ February 23, 2013

Delaware, Ohio

Patsy Ann (Chafin) Deel, 61, of Delaware went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening February 23, 2013 at the Arbors at Delaware while surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born March 31, 1951 in Lebanon, Virginia to Robert and Mae (Clark) Chafin.

She attended Hayes High School and worked for many years at Murray Printing in Massachusetts and later at Sunray Stove in Delaware. On September 29, 1973, she was united in marriage to Howard G. Deel and to this union was born a son Chad Lee Deel. Those who knew and loved Patsy will remember her for always having the coffee ready for anyone who stopped by. She loved having family and friends gather to eat, talk, and have fun. She never met a stranger and loved everyone and always told you she loved you. She attended Lake Street Church of God and enjoyed greeting everyone as they came by her pew in church. Even in her illness, she was also a great prayer warrior in praying for others.

Left behind to cherish her memory include Howard Deel; son, Chad Lee (Amanda) Deel; granddaughter Jamie Mae Deel and grandson Chad Lee Deel Jr. of Delaware; brothers, Tom (Marzetta) Chafin of Cardington, Bob (Laura) Chafin of Radnor; sister, Betty (Vadie) Deel of Delaware; brother-in-law, Larry Hubbard of Cardington; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Sue Hubbard, and a niece Carla Chafin.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 27th from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Lake Street Church of God, 185 Lake Street, Delaware. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center to assist with funeral expenses.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Arbors for their wonderful care and concern over the last 3 months.
