Pamela Sue Dille

July 02, 1951 ‒ November 25, 2016

Ontario, Ohio

ONTARIO: Pam Dille loved without condition, gave without reason, and most of all cared for others with no expectations. She personified selflessness.
Pam passed into the Lord’s presence Friday morning November 25, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was 65.
Born Pamela Sue Rader July 2, 1951 in Mansfield to Burdell and Dorothy Mae (Eyerly) Rader, she was a Girl Scout and a 4-H member. She graduated from Ontario High School in 1969 and later attended The Ohio State University Mansfield.
On August 29, 1970 she married Ronald Dille, and they were blessed with two sons. While raising her family, Pam was one of the founding leaders of the Ontario Summer Recreation Program and served as treasurer of Ontario Music Club.
For 36 consistent years she served Ontario United Methodist Church as the administrative assistant. Pastors came and went (several went on to become District Superintendent), and through all their tenures Pam served with excellence. A member of the church, she sang in the church choir and a one-year term as church treasurer turned into 13 years.
An avid reader, she was active with the Weebles Card Club, and could play a mean hand of gin rummy or game of backgammon. Pam was detail oriented and very family focused. As a lifelong resident and proud member of the Ontario community, Pam was very adamant about attending the extracurricular activities her family members were involved in.

She will be remembered for her pistachio pudding, pecan bars and hamloaf, and her consistent inspirations to love one another.
She is survived by her husband Ron; their sons Matt (Kathy) Dille and Todd (Brianne) Dille all of Ontario; grandchildren (“I love you to the moon and back!”) Kyler, Wyatt, Cole, Taylor and Meghan; her brother-in-law Mike Fulmer of Galion; Chuck (Lori) Dille, Roy (Julia) Dille and Tom (Peg) Dille; uncles Bob (Linda) Eyerly of Ontario and Darrell (Marlene) Rader of Woodstock, IL; and an aunt LaDonna Fuhrer of Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Linda Kay Fulmer and Laura Jean Rader.
The Dille family will receive friends Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Avenue West, Ontario, where a worship service, giving glory to God for the Life of Pamela Dille will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastors Sondra Snode, Peg Welch and Karen Wagenhals will officiate. Interment will be in Ontario Cemetery. The Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the memorial fund of Ontario United Methodist Church may be made at the church.
Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dille family. Send them a message of support – or watch Pam’s tribute video – at: SnyderFuneralHomes.com

  • Tears! Tears of heartache and tears of joy! What a glorius ray of sunshine Pam was to all who knew her. Sending thoughts of love and prayers to the family. Ron, my cousin, your beautiful bride touched my life for so many years. Just last October we sat and laughed and shared family stories. It blessed my heart and Cheryl’s heart so deeply to get the pictures of all of us cousins sitting around the table at Aunt Martha’s house. What a precious gift Pam gave to me in those pictures. Her pistachio pudding changed my life! Hahaha! It’s still my favorite dessert in the universe! Praying big prayers of love and comfort for all of you. Matt and Todd and families you know what a gift your mom was to all of us. Now, she is singing with angels and pouring her love out from heaven. Love to all, Greg and Cheryl

  • Pam and I were the third generation of a friendship beginning with our grandparents Thelma and Gail Eyerly, and Joe and Minnie Heilman . Pam’s mom was born around the same time as my mother.(who was named after Aunt Thelma) and last but not least there was Pam and me. I think out mother’s thought a lot alike because My name was going to be Pamela. But…as you can see that name was taken by the time I got to this earth. My middle name is Jean (as was Laura Jean Rader) and my sister’s name was Rebecca Kay and Linda was Linda Kay. Dorothy and Burdell were there when my father passed in 1969 to help Rev. Yausy with the funeral. Unfortunately this is the last generation of a very long friendship and one I will miss dearly. Pam also made a GREAT veggie pizza, too. Rest in heavenly peace Pam. We will all miss you especially the Gorgess Goddesses and our meals.

    I will miss you.
