Opal “Delores” Covrett Kroninger, age 71, of Delaware died at home, Monday, February 23, 2004.

She was born on July 23, 1932 in Delaware to the late Arthur and Florence (Johnston) Covrett. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware and worked until retirement at the former Flexible Corp.

Delores attended the Scioto Valley Church, volunteered at Grady Hospital, enjoyed singing, and played baseball until her retirement.

Survived by Daughters: Cheryll Stetson of Delaware, Patricia Kroninger of Columbus, Sons: Raymon (Evelyn) Kroninger, Leslie (Vicky) Kroninger, Steven Kroninger all of Delaware, 16 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, Sisters; Marguerite Benedict of Ashley, Janet Jackson of Dublin, Carol (Ed) Pharris of Florida, Brothers: Russell Covrett of Burton, Harold (Margaret) Covrett of Delaware, and Norman(Phyllis) Covrett of Delaware.

Preceded in death by husband: Raymond Kroninger on Nov. 24, 1993, Brother: Melvin Covrett, Sisters: Sandra Covrett, and Millie Levings.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m, with Pastor Jeff Slider officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
