Norlaine R. Rankhorn, 59, of St. Rt. 95 East, Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at her home.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Norman and Elaine Croft Gould. She has resided here since 1973, moving here from Detroit. She worked as a medical technician for St. Anne’s Hospital in Westerville until retiring. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Marion and enjoyed raising exotic birds.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd E. Rankhorn, whom she married ; a daughter and son-in-law Rhonda & David Strickland of Columbus, Ohio; a brother Norman Gould, Jr. of Denver, CO; and 2 sisters Diane Hall of Ramona, CA, and Virginia Corbett of Lincoln Park, MI.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Brian K. Rankhorn and two grandchildren Brian K. Rankhorn II and Tabitha D. Rankhorn on Jan. 4, 1990.

Friends may call at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Elder Gregory Curtis, President of the Marion Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will conduct funeral services, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
