Nickalaus Allen “Nick” Frame

June 12, 1980 ‒ July 19, 2017

Fredericktown, Ohio

Nickalaus Allen “Nick” Frame age 37, of Fredericktown died Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after acquiring flu-like symptoms just six short weeks ago.

He was born on June 12, 1980 in Ft. Gordon, Georgia the son of the late Raymond Frame.

Nick was a 1998 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School and worked as a home health aide for Maxim healthcare Services.  He was also a member of the Masonic Chester Lodge #238 F & AM.

While he enjoyed playing video games, Nick’s true love was reading.  You could find him reading nearly anything, especially science fiction.  He’d also go “fact finding” if someone spoke of something he didn’t know or if he questioned the validity.  He wanted to learn everything and just like his dad, he seemed to have a photographic memory.

Nick also loved to cook and would try new recipes out on his family.  He’d tell them, “don’t worry about supper Sunday, I’ve got it covered”.

He and his grandmother would can together as well…something he really enjoyed.  In fact, you’ll find some of his pickles, pickled onions, and pickled beets at the calling hours.

As a young boy, he’d fish with his grandfather on Knox Lake.

His family will remember him as a “gentle giant” who “never spoke a bad word about anybody”.  They will forever miss his response to a good joke…he loved to laugh.

He will be missed by his adopted mother Dorothy Frame of Fredericktown; his sister Rachael Thompson of Kentucky; grandmother Peggy Frame of Fredericktown; Aunt Mae and Uncle Michael Rose of Columbus; cousins Joe, Che, and Andrew; and second cousins Liam and Vincent who he adored.

In addition to his dad he was preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Frame in 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at noon at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio.  Friends may call on the family from 10 AM until the time of the service.  A Masonic Service will be held prior to the service.

A Go Fund Me account has been created in Nick’s name to assist Grandma Peggy with funeral expenses.

The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve Nick’s family.  Special memories and condolences can be expressed to them at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com

  • Rachael words cannot express our sadness at hearing about the death of Nicholas. You and I only met once as adults but at on point in my life your mother and I were more like sisters than cousins. I cannot begin to understand your pain but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with your family .

  • May your family be blessed with solace and peace. Keep the treasured memories close to your heart always. My hope and prayer is that you can one day reunite with your dear loved one, Nickalaus Allen, in happiness and good health, John5:28,29. Love and Prayers.

  • Please accept my deepest sympathy for your family’s loss. The Bible has proven to be the best source of encouragement to cope with such a difficult time. The Bible at Revelation 21:1-4 helps us to appreciate that Almighty God has the power to do away with sickness and death. Also, Isaiah 33:24 states: “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’ The blessing of God will eventually include the elimination of all suffering due to poor health. Soon cancer, heart trouble and all other diseases that cause humans pain and unhappiness will simply not exist. I sincerely hope that these scriptures from the Bible will bring your family much comfort and hope.
