Naomi Weller, age 79, of Summit Dr. Fredericktown, died peacefully at her home July 10, 2003. She was born in Knox County May 15, 1924, daughter of the late Wilber and Elta (Thompson) Roberts and had been a lifetime resident of the Fredericktown area.
While known throughout the community as a loving wife, mother and friend; she excelled at many roles. Her career was her family and she spent time where her children and family were. Serving as a cook at the Fredericktown Local Schools; as a cook for Church Camp; as a 4H advisor; and as a volunteer for the construction of the Fredericktown Library are a few shining examples of her family focus in her life of service. She had been a member of the Palmyra Church of Christ since 1936 and all of her children were baptized there; also, she was a 50-year member of the Ann Hill Chapter #81 of the O.E.S., the Fredericktown Historical Society and a member of the West Side Club in Fredericktown.
Mrs. Weller is survived by 3 daughters Janice (William) Mast of Fredericktown, Jeannine (Roger) Davis of Palm Harbor, Florida and Julia (Ray) Felgar of North Manchester, Indiana; 2 sons Wendell Weller of Bradenton, Florida and Carroll (Cathie) Weller of Fredericktown; 11 grandchildren Sherry Wilson, Scott Mast, Brad Mast, Kerry Davis, Todd Davis, Rich Davis, Andrea Weller, Kathy Parrett, Jeff Felgar, Brittany Weller and Jennifer Weller and 14 great grandchildren Bronson Mast, Mackenzie Mast, Brayden Mast, Meghan Mast, Bailey Mast, Olivia Mast, Jessica Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jennifer Davis, Gillian Davis, Paul Davis, Kaitlyn Parrett, Logan Parrett, and Morgan Parrett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Everett Weller, a son Andy Weller, a brother Howard Roberts, an infant brother Harry Roberts, a daughter-in-law Pamela Weller and an infant grandson Michael Joe Davis.
Friends may call on Saturday from 5PM until 8PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at the Palmyra Church of Christ Sunday at 2PM where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Troy Northrop, Kerry Davis and James Hetherington will officiate and burial will follow at the Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
