Naomi J. Moreland, age 79, of North Sandusky St., Mt. Vernon, died unexpectedly Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Knox Community Hospital. She was born on July 31, 1922, in Woodsfield, Ohio, to the late Clyde E. And Dorothy B. (Harper) Hamilton. Naomi was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church was employed at the Isalys Restaurant and retired after 30 years of service as a Nurse at the Northside Manor and the Ohio Easter Star Home.
She is survived by a son Ellis “Butch” (Margaret) Moreland of Mt. Vernon, two daughters, Patricia A. (Thomas) Naylor of Mt. Vernon, Dorotha M. Small of Mt. Vernon, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great step-grandson, two brothers, Jack (Harriet) Hamilton of Mt. Vernon, Charles V. Hamilton of Sandusky, and two sisters, Jean (Leslie) Brown of Mt. Vernon, and Joanne Bumpus of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, Olan Ried Moreland, a sister, Wilma Seavolt, and two brothers, Robert and Harry Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the Mound View Cemetery beginning at 11:00 A.M. with the Pastor Mark Wildermuth officiating.
