MANSFIELD: Nancy Rose Burford Tasker, 69, of Willow Drive, died Thursday, January 22, 2004, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness.

Nancy was born on January 25, 1934, in White Oak, Kentucky, to Jeff and Hazel Hale Murphy. She attended Flintwood Schools, in Flintwood Virginia, and was graduated from Mansfield Beauty College. She was the owner-operator of Nancy’s Beauty Shop and also retired from Gorman Rupp in 1984.

Mrs. Tasker was a member of First Church of the Open Bible.

She is survived by her daughter Sue Burford Hunt and

her husband John; a son-in-law Kevin Plank; grandchildren and their spouses Thomas and Caroline Trent, Greg Trent, Bobby Plank, Kimberly and Ron Weightman, Sean and Stephanie Hunt, Eric and Amber Michelle Hunt, Amber Rose Hunt; great grandchildren Danny, Andy, Brittany and Jesse Weightman, Cheyenne and Mariah Hunt, Cain Trent, Austin and Morgan Hunt and Sydney Hunt; stepson Jack Tasker and his wife Linda, their children Billy and Johnny; brothers and their spouses Jack Murphy, Malcum and June Murphy, John and Lee Murphy, Ronnie and Joyce Murphy, and Denny and Sally Murphy; sisters and their spouses Prudy Marshall, Joyce Butler, Elizabeth and Johnny Cantrell, and Phyllis and Bob McKee; many, many nieces and nephews and very close friend Mary Wolford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving first husband Thomas Burford, daughter Rose Plank and her second husband Glenn Tasker; brothers Ned, Fred, Frank, Lacey, Ike and Donald Murphy; sisters Ella Mae Vance, Jessie McClain. Grace Barnett, Ruby Clark and Iva Gladys.

Friends may call at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home today, Saturday, January 24, 2004, from 1-3 and 5-7 pm, where the funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Don Stallard will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
