Mykaela Grace Fellure

November 05, 2002 ‒ January 24, 2018

Ostrander, Ohio

Mykaela Grace Fellure had a smile that would light up a room and a heart to please.

She was called home early on Wednesday afternoon, January 24, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born on November 5, 2002 at home in Vermillion, Ohio the daughter of Charity (Teeple) and Jeffrey Fellure.

Mykaela will be remembered for her love of God, family, friends, and music.  She attended the Delaware Christian Church and loved going to concerts of the many eclectic artists she listened to, from Coin to Bleachers, to Japanese House Music.

As a freshman at Buckeye Valley High school she was a straight A student, and while she worked hard, school came very natural to her.

In her elementary and junior high years she played softball and ran track and more recently she enjoyed snowboarding with the ski club and staying active.

She will be missed by her mom and step-dad Charity (Teeple) and Stephen Wallace of Ostrander; her dad and step-mom Jeffrey and Amanda Fellure of Marengo; sister and best friend Selah; maternal grandparents Jerry (Sharon Osborne) Teeple of Wooster, Ohio, Joy (John) Emery of Valley City, Ohio; paternal grandparents Della (Carl) Dowdy of Mansfield, Jim (Karen) Fellure of Shelby; aunts and uncles Allison Maguire of Highland, Texas, Jennifer Foos of Mansfield, Julie Fellure of Finley, and David (Heather) Fellure of Cincinnati; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 4 PM at Delaware Christian Church, 2280 W William St, Delaware, Ohio 43015.  Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for her sister, Selah’s education.  Envelopes will be available at the church.

The Snyder Rodman Funeral Home of Delaware is honored to serve Mykaela’s family under these tragic and sad circumstances.  Special memories and condolences can be expressed to them at

Mykaela would like to say to you, this is not our home and she will see you again.

Her smile and sweetness will ALWAYS be remembered. BEAUTIFUL girl from a WONDERFUL family. I wish I could be there for you on Saturday but will be out of town. That breaks my heart. Please know I love you and am ALWAYS here for you Charity. Hugs…lots of
    hugs and prayers dear one.

  • I am just so heartbroken for you, beloved Dr. Wallace and Charity. Know that you are on my heart and in my prayers. So very, very sorry… words cannot express. Our hope is in Christ — He will not fail us. I love you both.

  • Mykaela was one of my two special granddaughters. She was beautiful inside and out. I picture her now in heaven, dressed in white running through fields of flowers laughing and singing and smiling into the face of Jesus. He will probably give her the special task of standing at the gate of Heaven and handing a bouquet of flowers to every new person that enters in.

Mykaela – we will miss you so much – I know Jesus needed you more than we do now. You are in a better place – we will see you again – you will be there to welcome us.

We love you – life will never be the same. We will always remember your smiling face and treasure all the precious memories of the moments we spent with you.

    Joy A. Emery – grandmother

  • Mykaela. Always smiling, trying, being your best. So lucky to know you and watch you create ideas, laughter, joy .

  • I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know Mykaela but I know how it feels to have your child leave us, here on earth, too early. My son also attended Buckeye Valley. He passed away his senior year in 2001 after a brain injury from a football game. While I know he is in a better place, I cannot help but miss his wonderful smile and spirit each and every day. What gets me through is knowing he had another purpose and I will see him again. I pray for your peace and wanted you to know how much I know what you are going through. My love is with you.

    • I beleive I went to school with your son. Brandon if I was not mistaken. He was in my senior class. I remember how tough that was. He was a great kid and loved by many, just like Mykaela!

Charity and Dr Steven as the Lord takes your hand and guides you through this hard time, My prayers for the peace only He can bring. You both are so kind and generous now it is our communities turn to give back to you.

  • Sharon and Jerry, there are no word to ease the pain you are enduring at this time. We are so sorry for your loss of Mykarla. Way TOO soon. There is no question of the LOVE she gave, nor knew she received. All we do KNOW, is that our Lord is faithful.

  • Beautiful girl, beautiful smile, beautiful life but way too short!
Sending prayers and love for your entire family as you navigate the rest of life’s journey together 🙏

  • Charity and Steve, my heart breaks for you and the pain of your loss. Such a beautiful young life should not leave us so soon. Prayers for you and your family.

  • Dear Fellure family,
Words cannot express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Mykaela was and will always be an angel. She was loved and freely gave love. She accomplished much and touched so many lives in her 15 short years on this earth. She truly made a difference and will never be forgotten. We pray you find comfort in knowing that so many are better people for having known your daughter.
May the Lord bless and keep you, may His face shine upon you and give you peace. The Gerold family

  • It was an honor to know Mykaela as a student. She was so bright and kind with an ever-present smile. All of her classmates are mourning her loss. My thoughts are with you and Selah. Please know that the BV community is here for you.

  • Jeff and family The Littleton family is so sorry for your loss. We only met the girls a couple of times through Jason. Can’t imagine the pain your whole family is going through. May God bless you and keep you during your time of need.

  • Charity, Jeff and family – we are so sad to hear about your loss. Our prayers of comfort and courage are with you during this difficult time. May God bring you encouragement, love and lots of support during your time of loss.

  • Dear Jeff,
There are no words to adequately express the magnitude of loss you must be feeling. I can’t imagine. I worked with you for a few years in Juvenile Detention. Please know I will be holding you up to our Father’s throne, asking Him to provide you and your family with the grace and mercy you will need to get through this. I pray you feel God’s presence as He sustains you in the coming days. Isaiah 57:1-2 has ministered to me in times of great loss. “The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.” Mykaela has found peace and rest. I pray you find some comfort knowing that. Im so very sorry for this great loss in your life. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

  • Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Mykaela was a beautiful person. Our daughter Faith sat with her in all of her classes and was proud to be her friend. She will be greatly missed but we shall see her again and she will live on in precious memories. God be with your family at this very difficult time.

  • We didn’t know Mykaela, but we lost our 17 year old daughter on Christmas Day as a result of an automobile accident on Christmas Eve. We know exactly what you are going through and our hearts are with you as we grieve right along side you. I’m so sorry for your loss.

  • We pray for strength and comfort to be given to the family and so many friends mourning the loss of this beautiful young lady.

  • Charity, Steve, Selah and family, know that God is by your side during this time of tragic loss. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you.

I send my deepest sympathy at your tragic loss.
There are no words to ease your pain, but know your friends, church, BV community, and Delaware community are sending prayers, love and support to you.
What a blessed, beautiful daughter you have raised.
    In sympathy.

  • NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY Natures first green is gold Her hardest hue to hold Her early leafs a flower But only for an hour The leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief. NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY Robert Frost. Love to Charity Steven and Selah.

  • There was absolute truth in Mykaela’s ability to light up a room. I was lucky enough to have experienced it during her visits to our home. When she crossed the threshold our house became lighter, joyful and full of laughter. That tended to last well after she had gone.
Her impact was great enough to reach halfway across the world. Here I sit all the way in Alaska feeling compelled to say so. I am saddened by the loss of Mykaela but more importantly I wanted you to know her smile knew no bounds. I am grateful to have seen it.

  • So many prayers have gone up to God for all of the family of Mykaela, I know He is gathering you in his arms and taking care of you at one of the hardest times of your lives. And our family will add more to those prayers for you, especially in the upcoming days. Our family sends our sympathy to your family for such a great loss. I know this has touch so many at school and out of school. From all I have heard Mykaela was a wonderful and beautiful person inside and outside, but especially inside. Our daughter attended school with Mykaela and she has expressed how sad she is to lose a classmate. May God be with you all and bless you in the next days, weeks and months. Keep in mind God will not put more on you than you can endure.

  • I didn’t know your daughter but my soulmate went to BV school my pray and though go out to the whole family.

  • Steve, Charity & Selah,

I can’t get you guys out of my mind. My heart breaks for all of you. There isn’t any words I say that will make it any better. I wish I could take away all your heartache, because I truly would. I remember giving Mykaela a ride to the office one day so you didn’t have to come home. She was so quiet at that time. She has such a big infectious smile. And I know she will be watching you guys. You all will forever be on my mind. You guys would do anything for our family, so we’re here to return the favor….if you need anything at all, please let us know, even if it’s needing a shoulder to cry on. I miss you guys living next door. We consider your family a part of ours. We ❤️ you guys!!

  • Steve & Charity,
There are no words…there are no words. Both of you are such good, compassionate people and there is nothing, in this world, that will take away the pain of losing a child. Your comfort and peace will come from your faith and your strength to carry on for each other and Selah, giving your grief to a higher power. Our deepest sympathy and our healing prayers are with you.
    God bless you,
    Owen and Teri Adams

  • Sandy and Dick Bankert wish to send our deepest sympathy to Stephen and Charity on the tragic loss of their beloved daughter Mykaela. Our thoughts and prayers also go out to her sister and best friend Selah’s.

  • Dear Charity and all your family. I am deeply saddened by your loss. Our faith in Jesus shows us ways to deal with great loss, but it is so hard. One book that has helped me at times is When Bad Things Happen to Good People written by Harold S. Kushner, a rabbi who lost a teenage son. The book was first printed in 1983, so it is dated, but the faith story is never dated. Prayers for you and your family.

  • I did not know your family but felt compelled to send my condolences. I don’t think there is anything worse than losing a child. I have 3 granddaughters about the same age. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God show you love and strength to endure this tragic situation.

  • Charity, Steve, Jeff, Amanda and Selah,

Our hearts are broken for your family. Your Mykaela was a truly beautiful person. She had such a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. We feel truly blessed to have known her and will miss her dearly.

We take comfort knowing the kids are sitting at the right hand of our Father.

    With Love,
