Muriel C. “Mike” Scheidler, 94, of 438 Homer Street, Galion, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 at home.

Born Sept. 16, 1912 in Nappanee, Ind., he was the son of the late Rollie Scheidler and Mary Lewis Scheidler. He was preceded in death on July 8, 1986 by his wife, Mary Margaret Thoman Scheidler whom he married on Sept. 13, 1934.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He worked for the former Stratbury Manufacturing in Galion for 34 years and for the former Galion AMCO for 15 years retiring in 1977.

He is survived by three grandchildren and spouses, Merle D. and Audrey Scheidler of Aloha, Ore., Rod and Melissa Scheidler of Galion and Joe and Josie Scheidler of Galion; seven great grandchildren, Jeanine, Nicole, LeighAnn, Nathaniel, Jennifer, Denise and Justin Scheidler
a brother, Donald Scheidler of Galion, a sister, Madge Davis of Galion and a daughter-in-law, Georgia Scheidler of Galion.

He was preceded in death by a son, Merle Scheidler, two brothers, Elgar and Lyman Scheidler and three sisters, Cleo Belle Scheidler, Evelyn Flemming and Esther Williams.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 with Pastor Don Trigg officiating. Burial will be next to his wife in Fairview Cemetery.
