Matthew W.S. Dallas passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Matt was born October 19, 1970 in Uhrichsville, Ohio.

Matt is loved and missed by so many, including his wife Rachelle and sons Matthew, Dan, Nate and his daughter-in-law Kelsey; his parents, Maurice Dallas (Father) and Kelly Dallas, Molly Dallas (Mother) and Jim Rubin; father- in -law and mother- in- law Lloyd and Fleda Reinbeau; siblings, brother Maurice Dallas (Michele), sister Mia Borojevich (Nic), sister Molly Ann Kordos (Matt); brother- in- law Pete Witkowski (Marjorie) and sisters- in- law Jan Haffner (Bill) and Sheila Witkowski; nieces and nephews, Taylor and Kaitlin Dallas; Abi, Nic, and Luc Borojevich; Jackson, Ella and Madaline Kordos; Blair Dallas (great niece); Danny, David and Douglas Witkowski; Billy Haffner.

Matt was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed coaching his boys in basketball, fishing with his family, going to the Kokosing River, playing tennis, boating and taking vacations. He was a great friend and listener. He was passionate about his work and built a successful business. Those who knew Matt know how kind he was.

In Lieu of flowers the “Matt Dallas Family Memorial Fund” has been set up at the First Know National Bank in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. A physical check can also be mailed to the same address.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Matt at the Apple Valley Clubhouse (3725 Apple Valley Drive, Howard, Ohio 43028) from 4-7 PM on Friday September 1, 2017.

  • We are so very saddened to hear of Matt’s passing. He brought our family many moments of laughter and fun during Junior High and High School. We so loved to watch him pay basketball. And, he had a blast sled riding down our big hills.
