Mary L. Waldman

MANSFIELD: Mary L. Waldman, 79, of North Illinois Avenue, Mansfield, died Monday morning February 25, 2008 in her home following a long illness.
She was born September 1, 1928 in Knox County to Floyd H.and Valeda E. (Wheatcraft) Matthews. Mary was graduated from Butler High School in 1946 and moved to Mansfield later that year.
For nearly 40 years, Mary worked as a payroll clerk with Westinghouse in Mansfield.
She was a member Eagles #336, the Sons of Herman, and the VFW in Mansfield.
Mary had enjoyed golfing, crocheting and watching game shows on television.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Wendland of Lexington, daughter and son-in-law Terri & Harry Merle of Mansfield, daughter and son-in-law Susan & George Stiteler of Milford; grandchildren Mickey & Cecilia Wilson, Howard & Stacy Wendland, Nicole Wendland, Scott & Heather Wendland all of Mansfield, Alisha, Laura and Charlie Stiteler all of Milford; great grandchildren Darein Wilson and Bradley Wendland; four step great grandchildren Kyle and Bailey Merle, and Kayla and T.J. Couch; her sisters and brothers-in-law Betty & Cliff Boyer of Taylor, Mich., and Connie & Dwain Tilton of Bellville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Larry Zehner in 1948; and a brother Cecil Matthews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Jack Hackworth will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.
