Mary Emily Yingling, 88, of 860 Charles Street, Galion, died Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Village Care Center in Galion, where she has been in declining health.

Born June 20, 1916 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Henry Herwig and Marie Cotter Herwig. She was preceded in death on July 1, 1974 by her husband, Paul Yingling whom she married on January 23, 1950.

She was a graduate of St. Peters Catholic High School in 1934 and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. She was a clerk at the former J.C. Penney Co. in Galion.

She is survived by a niece, Marie Hubley of Florida.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Schelling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her husband.
