Mary Ann Bishop, 75, of Galion passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at Galion Hospital.

She was born June 10, 1942 in Lackawanna, New York and was the daughter of the late Cletus and Lea Ann (Bloshure) Spiegel. Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harry Bishop whom she married on June 26, 1962.

She was a 1960 graduate of Bucyrus High School. Mary worked as a nurse’s aide at Bucyrus Community Hospital and in the home health industry with the former Star Home Health Care. She camped with her husband at Candlewood and enjoyed gambling, bowling and going to breakfast with friends and Granny’s Kitchen.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Robert J. (Mary) Bishop of Marion and Michael (Kate) Bishop of Galion; daughter Catherine Bishop of Johnsville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at New Day Ministries, 301 East Warren Street, Bucyrus, Ohio  44820. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.  There will also be a reception following the service at the church.  Due to Mary’s passion for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers you are encouraged to wear team colors in her honor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross in care of the funeral home.
