Mark W. Toot
February 01, 1953 ‒ August 08, 2017
Mount Gilead, Ohio
Mark W. Toot, age 64, of Mount Gilead, passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on February 1, 1953, in Mount Gilead, to the late Francis P. and Ruth E. (Bonham) Toot. Mark graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the class of 1971.
Mark enjoyed working at HPM for the 13 years he was able to. After HPM closed their doors, Mark began driving trucks for CPS and LPP Paving.
After 14 years of being together, Mark married Melinda C. (Conley) Newsome. The two were united on December 23, 2005.
Over the years Mark has enjoyed his memberships in the local V.F.W. and AmVets. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, OSU Football, NASCAR, and a refreshing can or more of Natural Light beer. The hunt for a bargain left Mark scouring every garage sale he passed or auction he was informed of. Mark always had a joke to tell and often an elaborate story to share. While a jack of all trades, Mark wasn’t necessarily the master of many but he always gave it his best shot. Most importantly, Mark enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melinda; children: Cindy (Mark) Crum of Cardington, Kerry (Joel) Delavarn of Mount Gilead, Cori (Jeff) Barker of Cardington, Joey Newsome of Cardington, Tina (Jeff) Millisor of Marion, and Larry Newsome of Mount Gilead; grandchildren: Keith and Kolton Marcum, Trent Crum, Brandon and Bryson Parker, Kelsey and Jeffrey Barker, Cody, Shaylyn, Haley, and Whitney Newsome, Kayla and Caden Millisor; great grandchildren: Ashton and Addie Mae Marcum; a sister, Sandy (Rich) Sautter of Galion; and his beloved four legged son, Biscuit.
His family will greet friends from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. (67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead) Services celebrating his life will be held there on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Rivercliff Cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Morrow County and/or to the Morrow County Veterans Service Office.
