BELLVILLE: Margaret M. Hyer Ocheltree Linger, 88, of Bellville, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009 in MedCentral Hospital following a brief illness.

Margaret was born on March 7, 1920 in Hyer, West Virginia to Ira and Julia (Gillespie) Hyer.

Margaret moved to the Bellville area in 1952. She retired from Temples Hills Church Camp, Bellville where she worked as cook.

In her spare time Margaret enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She will be remembered for her love of family.

Margaret is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Fred (Ida Mae) Ocheltree of Bellville, daughter Chelva Jean Troupe of Burlington, Washington, daughters-in-law Janet Ocheltree of Bellville and Janet Ocheltree of Burlington, Washington; grandchildren Angela (Brad) Horwatt of Mt. Vernon, Alan (Linda) Ocheltree of New Albany, Daren Ocheltree of Portsmith, Steve (Kim) Ocheltree, Jeff (Crystal) Ocheltree both of Bellville, Tonya (Eugene) Rodreges, Tina Avila, Todd (Cindy) Ocheltree, Tim Ocheltree all of Burlington, Washington, David (Jean) Troupe of Washington, Mark (Lisa) Troupe of Bellingham, Washington; Michelle (Phil) Dieneen of Mill Creek, Washington, Melisa Troupe of Burlington, Washington, 32 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, step-son Eddie (Loretta) Linger of Loudonville, step-daughter Janet (Ed) Alford of Tehachapi, California, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Kennith H. Ocheltree, second husband Ray Linger, sons John, Donald, and Jackie Ocheltree, grandson Robert Ocheltree, great granddaughter Jenny Ocheltree, two brothers and sisters-in-law Willis and Hazel Gillispie and Finley and Naomi Hyer.

Friends may call on Friday January 9, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Homes where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am. Pastor William Secrest will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions to the Jefferson Township Bellville Rescue Squad may be made at the funeral home.
