Marc S. Wolf
January 31, 1950 ‒ March 03, 2013
MANSFIELD: “A genuinely happy person is one who has rendered others happy.” Simply put, Marc Wolf was a genuinely happy person. He sought to always make others smile and will be remembered for his people-pleasing personality.
Marc S. Wolf passed away early Sunday morning, March 3, 2013 at Hospice House in Ashland. He was 63.
He was born in Mansfield on January 31, 1950 to parents Elmer S. and Gail (Purcell) Wolf.
Marc was a life-long Mansfield area resident and retired from Newhope Industries after 25 years of service. At one time, he was employed by the Gourmet Room at Possum Run Golf Course where Marc would say, “One of the perks of the job is meeting famous people.” He lived with Micki & Larry Stambaugh for over 18 years and later found caring residences through Micki’s Creative Options.
His passions were fishing, bowling, singing, listening to music, and letter writing. In his spare time Marc could be found cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. In fact, there wasn’t a sport that Marc didn’t enjoy watching though wrestling and football were clear favorites.
He regularly attended Mansfield Baptist Temple with his roommates.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Chris and Alex Dekker of Mansfield; nephews and niece Casey, Corey & Jessica Dekker; a special friend Manya Morgan; his roommates Frank and Dale; the entire staff at Micki’s Creative Options; and numerous nurses, caregivers, supporters and friends.
Marc was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Marc will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Richard Folger will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
Contributions in Marc’s memory to the Richland County Special Olympics may be made at the funeral home.
